Are There Any Luxury Trucks?
2018 Mercedes X-class showcase
Short answer: yes, luxury trucks exist, but aren’t sold in the US. Long answer: almost every new truck on the market has a luxurious top-tier trim that puts it in luxury vehicle territory (and price range), but no classic luxury brands sell their truck models in the States. The reason for this is simple: no one wants a luxury truck. For example, the Europe-only Mercedes-Benz X-Class truck has never been sold in the US. US-based luxury trucks like the mildly popular Cadillac Escalade EXT or the downright hated Lincoln Blackwood are proof of this fact. People like luxury features in their trucks, such as high-end leather upholstery and integrated navigation, but don’t want trucks branded as a luxury ones.
